Please be aware

All visitors must report to Reception on arrival. If they have an appointment with a member of staff they are issued with a visitor’s badge to identify them as bona fide guests. They will be guided to their appointment destination or their staff contact will be telephoned to advise of their visitor’s arrival. As parking is generally not permitted on the school site, it is preferable for visitors to arrive at Reception via Exeter Street.

All visitors have to check out at Reception following their appointment. At this point they return their visitor’s badge to the duty Receptionist. Visitors should not walk through the school site to exit the school, but should go through Exeter Street.

No parent or visitor is permitted to enter any school buildings including the Sports Hall without permission, for any reason.

No parent or visitor is permitted to search the lost property area (behind Reception) without the approval of a member of staff. Reception is manned from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm daily.

These rules are in place to protect students and staff; they also benefit visitors and are an important part of both child protection and health and safety, in the event of a fire.

Please note that no coaches should stop for any reason on the restricted area immediately adjacent to the school gates on Exeter Street. All coaches should either wait at the coach parking area outside St Catherine's Gate, or alternatively stop and wait temporarily on the double yellow lines further to the South on Exeter Street. The latter is problematic, but is still visible from the School Gate. The former is preferable, but could be difficult in the Summer months when the tourist coaches are at a maximum.
