Additional Information - Year 7 Applications

If you have answered 'Yes' to any of the questions below on your application form for Year 7 in September 2025 then additional information must be supplied to the School.

Does the student have Special Access Arrangements (SAA)?

Prior to testing, parents should complete the Special Access Arrangements (SAA) section of the application form to inform the School of any special needs (medical, educational or personal), which their children have and indicate how those needs are currently being met.

Appropriate evidence not more than two years old of any needs must be provided.

The evidence documents must be uploaded to your application account by Friday 5 July 2024.

Does your child have any medical conditions that we should be aware of during the entrance test?

If your child needs access to any medicines or medical equipment during the entrance test or has a medical condition that we should be aware of, please complete the Medical Conditions section of the application form by Friday 5 July 2024. Examples include (but are not limited to): use of an inhaler, epipen, diabetes, colour blindness or other visual impairment, hearing difficulties.

The information must be uploaded to your application account by Friday 5 July 2024 .

Is the student in Public Care eg fostered, in a residential home etc?

Please indicate this on the Priority for Admission section of the application form and upload your evidence documents by Sunday 1 September 2024.

Was the student previously ‘looked after’ but immediately after being ‘looked after’ became subject to an adoption, residence or special guardianship order?

Please indicate this on the Priority for Admission section of the application form and upload your evidence documents by Sunday 1 September 2024.

Does the student meet the eligibility criteria for free school meals at his current school or qualify for the Pupil Premium Grant?

Please indicate this on the Priority for Admission section of the application form and upload documentary evidence of the appropriate support payment entitling your son to free school meals or the Pupil Premium Grant eg Income Support (IS) or Income Based Jobseekers Allowance (IBJSA) by Sunday 1 September 2024.

Please note that verification checks may be made.

The pass mark for boys who qualify and provide supporting documentary evidence from their local authority will be 3% lower than the standard pass mark and 10 places are reserved for them. If no official evidence is received by the deadline then the standard pass mark will apply.

Does the student qualify for the Service Pupil Premium (SPP)?

Please upload evidence to your application account that a parent is, or has been, a member of the armed forces in any of the three years prior to the date of the 11+ test (i.e. a copy of the MOD90 ID card), or evidence that the boy is in receipt of an MOD child pension.
