Entry into Years 7-11 in the Current Academic Year (The Post 11+ Entry Procedure)

Bishop Wordsworth’s School is a selective boys' grammar school, with responsibility for setting its own testing and admission requirements.

Are there any places available?

If your son wishes to be considered for a Y7 place at BWS in September 2025 and didn't sit the 11 plus exam in September 2024 then we are running a late entry exam on Tuesday 9 September 2025. The late entry exam will consist of an English and Maths paper set based on National Curriculum by school heads of department and will not be the formal 11 plus exam. Financial Assistance
