    • You should be automatically logged in to BromCom VLE

    Post Results Services

Once you have received your examination results, the following Post Results services are available should they be required:

    Review of marking

A review of the original marking to ensure that the agreed mark scheme has been applied correctly.

Exam boards review their marking to ensure your work was marked accurately in line with the mark scheme. Reviewers will not re-mark the script. They are trained to act to correct any errors identified in the original marking.

*Outcome within 20 calendar days of receipt of request by the exam board (15 days for priority reviews - A Level only)

This service is also available as a priority service for A-Levels where university offers are dependent on the outcome.

As a result of a review of marking, your grade could go up, stay the same or go down, therefore you must give your consent before paying for this service.

    Clerical re-check

A re-check of clerical procedures leading to the issue of a result.

Exam boards re-check that all marks have been included and added up correctly.

*Outcome within 10 calendar days of receipt of request by the exam board

As a result of a clerical re-check, your grade could go up, stay the same or go down, therefore you must give your consent before paying for this service.

    Access to scripts

To help you decide whether to request a review of marking, you may request a copy of your script.

Copies of scripts may also be requested to support future teaching and learning (e.g. if you decide to re-sit your exam).
*Outcome within 1 calendar days of receipt of request by the exam board

    * Please see below for information on how requests will be prioritised by the school

For further information from JCQ, please see here.

    Requesting Post Results Services

Bishop Wordsworth's School charges a £5 administration fee per paper for post exam services. This fee is included in the prices quoted on our Trybooking site and is non-refundable. Post Results Services – Outcomes

All outcomes from the post results services will be issued to students via their Teams account – students who go on to study at other schools or colleges can also still access their outcomes in this way, as their Teams account will be open until the end of October.

    Appeals

If you think an awarding body has made an error on a review of results, or not applied its procedures consistently, properly or fairly, it may be possible to submit an ‘appeal’ to the board. These must be supported by the relevant Head of Department and Head of Centre (Head Master).

    The deadlines for appeals are:

    Service School Deadline Board Deadline

    Stage 1 Appeal

Within 7 days of the date on the Review of Marking letter. Within 30 days of receiving the outcome of the review of marking
Stage 2 Appeal Within 7 days of the outcome of the Stage 1 appeal. Within 14 days of the outcome of the Stage 1 appeal.

    Please note that:

    • If you are unhappy with a result, a review of results is the first step. If, after receiving the outcome, you would like to enquire about making an appeal, this request must be sent to the Exams Officer within 7 days of the date on the Review of Marking letter. This allows school time to support any necessary discussions / steps before the board deadline. If you wish to appeal, contact "Exam Results" via Teams with details including your supporting information (see the examples here).
    • Appeals can only be submitted by the school . You should read the JCQ information here to familiarise yourself with the appeals process, and our school policy here.
    • School cannot submit your appeal without first receiving the appropriate fee. If you decide to go ahead with an appeal, we will send you a payment link. All fees are per component. If your appeal is successful, the fee will be refunded. We cannot refund your fee in any other circumstance.

    Exam Certificates

From 9am on Results Day, there will be a detailed results certificate, including your UCI, in the 'Reports' section of Bromcom VLE.

Official certificates issued by the relevant exam boards will be available in November.

    Exam Office Contact Details

If you have any further queries about exams, please send these via Teams to @exams.results, which will be monitored throughout the results period. All communication from students must be via Teams.
