Bishop Wordsworth’s School is seeking an outstanding teacher and enthusiastic subject leader to become our Head of Economics and Business Studies. This is an exciting opportunity to lead two popular and successful subjects within a high-achieving grammar school with students who are academically ambitious, curious and keen to engage.
We are looking for a talented teacher with strong subject knowledge in Economics and Business who can provide clear academic and strategic leadership across the department. You may already be an experienced Head of Department, or you may be an ambitious teacher ready to take the next step into subject leadership.

Bishop Wordsworth’s School is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Business and Economics to join our successful and academically ambitious school.

Bishop Wordsworth’s School is seeking an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Science Technician to join our Science Department, providing high-quality technical and practical support to teaching and learning across the sciences. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a scientific background and practical skills to become part of a busy and successful department. Previous experience in a school laboratory would be advantageous, although we welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience in other scientific or technical environments.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Lead Science Technician, fellow technicians and teaching staff to ensure that practical lessons are well-prepared, laboratories are maintained to a high standard and equipment and resources are managed safely and efficiently.

Are you interested in science and looking for an opportunity to develop new skills and build a career in a school laboratory? Bishop Wordsworth’s School is seeking an enthusiastic, practical and reliable Laboratory Assistant to join our friendly and supportive Science Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in science who is keen to learn and develop their skills. Previous laboratory experience or specialist scientific qualifications are not essential, as full training and support will be provided. Working alongside our experienced Science Technician team, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in a busy school laboratory, learning how to prepare practical experiments, maintain equipment and support the delivery of science lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Importantly, this role offers the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and practical experience needed to progress into a Science Technician role, with structured on-the-job training, mentoring and opportunities for further professional development.
